Summer might be coming to a close but the action inside the AA Diesel factory heated up this month! Our team were very busy building several truck bodies for new clients in February including this custom black Fuso tipper, a truck that now certainly stands out on the road.
It will be hard to miss the shining black tipper body as it drives around town, featuring one of our biggest bodies and customised to suit exactly what our client needed. From additional oil tanks to a customised tailgate, this Fuso tipper was manufactured to help our client’s drivers in their daily deliveries, finishing with a result that both our team and our client loved.
DESIGNING THE tipper body
We’ve seen a number of Fuso trucks come through our doors lately, including one tipper for a Brisbane client and another for an Adelaide client. No matter where we send these outstanding trucks, you can rest easy with your truck in the hands of our leading truck engineers. Our team perform everything in-house for our tipper builds, from the initial consultation to extending your truck’s wheelbase, all completed under one VASS certificate.
This custom black Fuso tipper wouldn’t be leaving Victoria however, this time designed for a Melbourne-based client who wanted a 4800mm long x 1000mm high tipper body installed on this Fuso Shogun. While this is one of our bigger bodies, designing and fabricating this body wouldn’t be a problem for our team, built with Hardened Wear Plate Steel for guaranteed durability.
Our client also requested a 1150mm high tailgate for this body, with a grain lock to allow for controlled pours of materials on site. Its features like this, and the custom options below, that make a tipper body more than just your regular truck; something that truly enhances efficiency and productivity for your business.
ADDITIONAL CUSTOM TIPPER BODY FEATURES
If you see this custom Fuso Shogun out on the road you might first notice the shining black tipper body, but what you may miss are some of the special features we installed on this superb truck. When we consult with our clients on a truck build, it is often this step that they find the most valuable, giving them additional tools to help transform their truck.
One of the most requested features that our clients ask for is a tarp for their tipper body, at AA Diesel we are often installing the Razor electric tarp that you’ll see in the photos below. This allows our clients and their drivers to secure their load and then quickly remove the tarp for efficient deliveries on site. Those loads can further be secured by the full length rope rail you’ll see on the body, helping to secure bigger items like excavators when driving around town.
To get equipment like excavators on to site, you need to be able to get them up on the truck first! That’s why we also installed under body ramp storage for our client on this body, allowing them to secure store a ramp for deployment both at their business and then on the worksites that they are utilising this type of equipment on. Finally, we rounded out this build with an additional alloy oil tank under the body, as well as the gloss black paint job seen below that will make this a striking truck body out on the Victorian roads.
Overall this is an outstanding tipper body and one that we’re proud to have built here in Melbourne! As we celebrate 25 years in the truck body building business, its important to take stock of all that we have done and this Fuso tipper is no exception.
