Happy New Financial Year everyone! We’ve been busier than ever in July with a ton of new truck body builds in the works, including this Hino truck and trailer combination for returning customer Daly’s Constructions.
Requiring the Hino combination for transportation of heavy materials like rocks and toppings, we created this build to withstand significant wear and tear. Every aspect of this truck and trailer combination was built to be extra heavy duty, ensuring Daly’s would have a Hino tipper setup that would last long into the future.
Building An Extra Heavy Duty Hino Combination
Lugging around rocks and other heavy construction materials every day requires tough truck bodies that are built to last. We knew that Daly’s would need something special for this Hino combination, something beyond a typical truck body build.
We started this build by first installing an 8mm, 450-grade hardened wear plate steel floor on both the Hino truck and trailer, ensuring that the base of these bodies could withstand the pressure of heavy rocks being loaded on and off.
Complimenting this heavy duty base was the installation of 150x100x9mm RHS body runners, once again giving the truck and trailer extra strength to withstand the pressures of the heavy materials being loaded on to them.
Finally, we installed heavy duty tailgate frames on both the truck and trailer with tailgate lock protectors to further secure each body. We also ensured that the top rail of each body had a slight angle to reduce damage and prevent bowing from the heavy rocks loaded on to the truck and trailer body, with an additional 50×50 angle on each bodies op rails to provide extra strength.
