Our team here at AA Diesel Truck Bodies have been busy across August with exciting projects ranging from tipper bodies and truck trays, to trailer combos and custom builds. A particularly exciting build for us this month was designing, building, and fabricating a tipper body and matching truck trailer for a new Volvo FM 460. As always we work with premium Hardox Steel to deliver some of the best tipper bodies and truck trailers in the industry.
We started this project by taking the time to speak with our client to better understand what jobs the Volvo FM 460 will be performing on a daily basis. From here we could brainstorm with our client to ensure that our tipper bodies and truck trailers would best meet their business needs and requirements, making the Volvo FM 460 as productive and efficient as possible.
Working closely with the client, we decided that a complete 10m³ tipper build and matching super dog (3 axle) trailer would be the best fit. Our team was keen to get started on this project and build to the clients specifications.
Here at AA Diesel Truck Bodies we only use high quality materials in our workshop to achieve increased durability and unbeatable impact strength while complying with Australian transport industry regulations. To build projects fit for Australia’s demanding transport conditions we always use premium Hardox steel.
Working on this build was a lot of fun for our team. We fitted the tipper with exciting features including a razor electric tarp, our signature stainless steel strips, spray suppressant, and our handheld wired controller for ease of use.
As for the matching super dog trailer (3 axles), we made sure it was equipped with the necessary features to be ready to take on any job. These features included drum brakes, electronic breaking system (EBS), air bag suspension, and an electric tarp.
In addition, both the tipper body and the super dog trailer were fitted by our team with tub liners for easy material discharge.
Performing this project from beginning to end in-house, we were able to ensure our clients exact specifications were met and deliver another fantastic project that our team are very proud of. This also means that our clients do not have to deal with the hassle of speaking to different suppliers, instead we take care of it for them!
