Building Truck Bodies
At AA Diesel Truck Bodies, we delivered a number of tipper truck bodies to clients across Victoria and interstate this month. Interestingly, the number of enquiries and truck body projects did not slow down due to the global pandemic, with infrastructure works and jobs continuing across Victoria and the rest of the country. Amongst the tipper truck bodies we delivered in April, one of our favourites was this 4.5 meter Hardox tipper body for a HINO.
Custom Truck Body Design
Before we build each tipper truck body, we take time up front to consult with our clients, making sure that each tipper is built to their specific needs and requirements, and tailored for the types of work and jobs they do on a regular basis.
Wheelbase Extension / Chassis Stretch
For this job, we first performed a wheelbase extension according to the HINO manufacturer instructions, pressed the new chassis, and made sure it was double skinned for long term durability. We then adjusted the tail shafts, meticulously checked all the driveline angles and carefully extended all of the delicate electronics and pneumatic lines. This was followed by professional in-house painting to match the existing chassis colour, and inspection by our in-house engineer who issued a VASS certificate of compliance.
Tipper Body Installation
We then built and fabricated a 4.5 meter tipper body, featuring a two way tailgate and a custom electric tarp. Each and every tipper truck body we make, including this one, is built using Hardox wear resistant steel for the ultimate durability, toughness and longevity in the harsh Australian transport conditions. Our tipper bodies are always built using the highest quality materials made in-house using our specialised machinery.
