Standout Project from November
The team have been busy getting trucks out before the Christmas break fabricating several tippers, trailers, trays, and custom jobs. Our standout job for November was working on a beautiful Western Star, hooking it up with a truck and trailer combination for our client, WA Molan and Sons.
WA Molan and Sons Background
WA Molan and Sons is a family business that has been operating for multiple generations that now has a 5th generation working within the business. The bulk of their work revolves around their local district, completing a variety of earthmoving jobs. The older green truck pictured with the Western Star was one of the grandfather’s original first trucks from when the business first began.
Client Consultation
Before we build each tipper body, we always take time to talk to our clients about the types of jobs they will be doing on a daily basis and their preferences. This allows us to tailor each truck body to their specific business needs, so that they can be as productive and efficient as possible, in everything they do.
Tipper Body and Trailer Build
It was an absolute pleasure building these truck and trailer tipper bodies for such an immaculate looking truck. After consulting with our client, we determined that it was best to build a tipper body that was 4650mm long with 1400mm high sides providing a capacity of approximately 14.5m³. The trailer was 6.1mt long with 1.4mt high sides achieving a capacity of 19m³.
Both the truck and trailer were fitted with manual roll back tarps and were given a 2 pack paint finish matching the colour of the truck cabin.
Hardox In My Body Program
All our truck and trailer bodies, including this custom truck body, are made from Hardox Wear Plate steel, which provides long lasting durability in the tough Australian transport conditions. Each truck body is custom built in-house using the highest quality materials and our specialised machinery.
