In October we built and fabricated truck bodies for almost any truck imaginable, ranging from used truck conversions, to new makes and models, as well as short and long wheelbases.
One of our highlights from October was building a custom tipper body and maximising the length of a MAN truck.
Before we build each tipper body, we take time to consult with our clients, ensuring each tipper is designed and built for the types of jobs they will be doing on a daily basis, and to their preferences.
One of the criteria we needed to meet for this job was to make sure that we could maximise the length of the tipper body, but without having to perform a costly wheelbase extension. We relocated the oil tank position to between the cabin and the body of the truck to maximise the space we could work with. Overall, were able to build and fabricate a tipper body that was 4.3m long with 1100mm high sides. This meant that we could achieve a body volume of 10m3.
As for paint, this truck cabin was already painted in a custom colour along with pinstriping. So we decided the best option was to consider alternative colours. Together with the client, we settled with a graphite grey and paired this with silver decals to really make this tipper body POP!
All of our tipper bodies, including this one, are made from Hardox Wear Plate steel, which provides long lasting durability in the tough Australian transport conditions. Each tipper body is custom built in-house using the highest quality materials and our specialised machinery.
