September has been a busy month for us here at AA Diesel Truck Bodies with a series of new and exciting projects. With the summer months just around the corner, we have been working closely with our clients across Australia to design, build and fabricate premium quality truck bodies, trays, and trailers.
This month we had the exciting opportunity to work with not one, but two Kenworth T610 Prime Movers! Here we were given the challenge to stretch and fit a 4.5m long body on each Kenworth T610.
DESIGNING THE TRUCK BODY
Before we begin any project, we start by speaking with our client to gain an understanding of the exact specifications and requirements needed so that the truck can successfully complete jobs performed on a daily basis.
We offer a range of special options and state of the art features, discussing with our client what will best work for their truck body needs.
In this case each Kenworth T610 needed a wheelbase extension to fit the custom designed 4.5m long truck body, with some extra features to ensure that our client would be able to utilise the truck for exactly what they needed.
BUILDING THE TRUCK BODY
Our team loved working on this build. Using advanced materials for superior quality we built the Kenworth T610 truck body to 4.5m long by 1.1m high.
We are proud to be a part of the Hardox In My Body program. We ensure that your truck body is made from genuine Hardox Wear Plate steel, manufactured to the highest standards by a qualified, and thoroughly assessed, Hardox In My Body program member.
To provide maximum productivity and efficiency to the Kenworth T610, a tow bar and razor electric trap was engineered by our team in-house.
In addition, we are excited to be in the process of building two truck trailers to match these Kenworth T610 Prime Movers!
Wheelbase modifications
After consulting with our client, we decided that a 400mm wheel base extension was needed to accommodate the truck body. As every truck manufacturer has their own unique requirements for how a wheelbase modification needs to be performed, we always follow the manufacturer’s specific instructions. Once we have planned out this process using those specifications, we utilise our own state of the art machinery for full modification and assembly.
All of our projects are performed in-house from start to finish, building with our very own expert qualified engineer and all under one VASS certificate.
Here at AA Diesel Truck Bodies we understand that time is important to our clients, that’s why we save our clients the hassle of dealing with multiple suppliers to help them get back on the road faster!
