It’s been a wild start to winter in the AA Diesel Truck bodies factory, with our team braving the wind, rain and cold to create magnificent truck bodies including this standout Kenworth T610 Tipper! Built for Earthaulers, a leading earthmoving company here in Melbourne, this tipper was crafted with our client’s exact vision in mind with very specific features needed to assist their team each day.
They needed a truck that not only stood out on the road (which this Kenworth certainly does!) but had the tools they needed as they travelled from site to site, as well as a maximised capacity to ensure greater efficiency out on the road. Our team were certainly happy with the end result, meeting these requirements and exceeding them with what is a truly standout end product for the Earthaulers team!
DESIGNING THE tipper body
The initial consultation process is always one of the most important parts of any truck body build, with this Kenworth T610 tipper build no exception. Meeting with our client, whether it is in person or over a video call, allows us to fully understand exactly how the truck will be utilised and what features the owner will need to get the most out of their vehicle. Sometimes this process will include recommendations from our team, with many truck owners unaware of all the custom options we have for trucks at the AA Diesel factory.
In this case however our client had a very specific build in mind and was fully aware of our reputation for building high-quality, customised truck bodies. To kick things off we installed a 4800mm long by 1150 high tipper body, built tough with premium parts to ensure this body would last long into the future. To lift this large tipper body our team installed an underbody hoist system with tipping controls that would allow their team to make controlled, precise deliveries.
As you’ll be able to see in the photos below, we also matched this tipper body precisely with the existing paintwork and branding that was in place on this Earthauler’s truck cab. From the precise colours to the detailed stripes and decals on the side, this is now a tipper truck that stands out from the competition, instantly recognisable as an Earthauler truck and an AA Diesel truck body. Our team are able to customise trucks exactly how our clients see fit, all done professionally in-house by our amazing factory team.
CUSTOM KENWORTH TIPPER BODY FEATURES
Building and installing that tipper body was only half the job however, with our client also requesting several features that would add to the overall functionality of the truck. One of the most obvious custom features you’ll see in this build are the 13 LED clearance lights along each side of the truck body, adding to the visibility and safety of the vehicle out on the road. Safety features like this are one of our specialities and our team can suggest several options to truck owners depending on exactly how their truck is being used.
Under the body we installed two stainless steel toolboxes, giving their team access to whatever they need out on the road without hassle. These were customised to suit this truck’s spacing requirements, with our team able to re-size and fit toolboxes based on the specific truck. We also installed a handwash station under the truck body, giving their team the option to quickly clean up out on the road and making life between jobs a lot more pleasant, especially on wet winter days.
Finally, our team installed a 50mm heavy duty hinge on the tailgate for extra load security, as well as towbar mudflaps and stainless spray suppressant, ensuring this truck body would have extra durability with protections in place to protect each part of this outstanding build. Overall this was one of our most customised truck body builds, and we have to say the result is one impressive Kenworth T610 tipper! We love bringing our client’s vision to life no matter how specified or customised, with our team loving the challenge of this build with a result that both them and the client very happy.
