Just as importantly, it’s a powerful piece of equipment built to endure the daily demands of heavy-duty transport operations.

Custom PBS-Spec Trailer Design
From the outset, this project was all about matching the trailer to an existing truck configuration—ensuring not only compliance and capacity but also visual cohesion and functional efficiency. The trailer features a 6100mm body length with 1100mm-high walls, carefully measured and manufactured to align perfectly with the height and length of the truck body. The result is a seamless setup that works as one cohesive unit.
The chassis was bent and produced entirely in-house by the AA Diesel team, using durable, high-quality materials that provide strength under pressure. After fabrication, the trailer chassis was painted in a striking red finish to match the truck chassis, delivering a unified, polished look that stands out on the road and job site alike.
As with all AA Diesel builds, safety and performance were key priorities. We equipped the trailer with SAF disc brake axles, chosen for their proven braking reliability and superior control—essential for managing heavy loads safely in various conditions. These brakes are known for their efficiency and lower maintenance demands, offering long-term value to operators.

Throughout our detailed consultation process we work out exactly what the trucking setup will be utilised for each day, whether its transporting large equipment or heavy duty materials out on the road. By going into specific detail with our truck body clients, we ensure that each body we work on is designed to enhance day-to-day usability and operator satisfaction. One of the first features we identified for this build was a Razor electric tarp system, identical to the one fitted on the client’s truck. This ensures quick and secure load covering with the push of a button. It’s an essential inclusion for improving workflow efficiency while keeping materials protected from the elements.
We also added a Jost ball race for improved manoeuvrability and load-bearing performance, ensuring smooth articulation on all kinds of terrain. Rounding out the back end of the trailer is a custom set of rear taillights—designed for both style and visibility, helping the trailer stand out while maintaining road safety standards.
