Our team recently had the opportunity to build a premium Isuzu truck and trailer combo for Abbatiello Concrete Constructions, a leading business in Adelaide known for its expertise in concrete works. Understanding the high demands of their daily operations, we worked closely with their team to design and fabricate a setup that delivers maximum efficiency, durability and functionality.
From the initial consultation to the final delivery, our goal was to create a truck and trailer combination that would not only meet but exceed their expectations. The result? A high-capacity tipper body and truck trailer, engineered with precision, built with premium components and finished with a clean, professional look that based on their requests.
Custom Isuzu Truck Body Design
The initial starting point for all of our builds is a detailed consultation process, understanding exactly what this trucking setup will be utilised for and what the owners want to get out of the vehicle each day. Based on our conversations with Abbatiello, we knew that this build would need to withstand hard impacts from all the heavy work that they carry out throughout the working week, complimented by features that would help them increase their efficiency.
For this Isuzu truck, we designed a 5000mm-long tipper body with 1150mm-high walls, giving the owner a robust and spacious setup that can handle the daily transport and dumping of heavy materials. As with all our builds, we used premium wear plate steel, sourced from leading Melbourne suppliers, ensuring superior strength and long-term resistance to wear and tear.
A 4-stage Hidromas hoist was integrated to provide controlled, efficient tipping, allowing the operator to deliver materials with ease. This system, coupled with our handheld in-cab controls, ensures effortless operation, maximizing productivity on-site.
To give the truck a seamless and professional appearance, we completed it with a two-pack Isuzu white paint job, carefully matched to the cab using a colour spectrometer for a flawless finish.
Custom Tipper Trailer Design
To enhance hauling capacity, we also designed a three-axle tipper trailer, custom-built to work in perfect unison with the truck. This trailer features a 5300mm-long tipper body with 1050mm-high walls, providing exceptional load volume and efficiency on the road.
Built to the same high standard as the truck body, this trailer incorporates SAF drum brakes and SAF air ride suspension, ensuring a smooth and controlled ride under all load conditions. To facilitate secure towing, we installed a Rockinger 50mm tow eye, allowing for a stable and reliable connection between the truck and trailer.
Just like the truck, the trailer received a two-pack Isuzu White paint job, ensuring a consistent and professional finish that reflects the quality and reliability of Abbatiello Concrete Constructions’ operations.
You’ll also spot a Razor electric tarp system on these both the trailer and truck body, each able to be deployed and removed without any manual effort. This automated cover system ensures quick and easy load protection, helping operators secure their materials with minimal effort while improving efficiency in each job.
With this fully customised Isuzu truck and trailer combo, Abbatiello Concrete Constructions is now equipped with a top-tier transport solution that will enhance their productivity and withstand the rigorous demands of their industry.
