During the consultation process for this build we learned that they wanted a custom 4500mm long tipper body installed on this Mercedes Actros, built AAD Tough with premium parts for long-term durability. A core part of this consultation process is learning about what the truck will be used for and how to get the most out of the vehicle for those operating it each day. Once we had this information our team got straight to work, designing what would end up being a fantastic custom tipper body for this Mercedes Actros truck.
Precision Custom Tipper Body Design

Designed with hardened wear plate steel from the highest quality suppliers, the tipper body for this Mercedes truck is 4500mm long with 1050mm high sides. This is quite a large tipper body with an impressive load capacity, created to withstand high impacts and heavy loads that this truck will transport each day.
The tipper body is supported by a premium hydraulic system featuring JOST parts, one of the best designers of truck components on the market. With this system installed, the truck’s operator will be able to perform deliveries with control and accuracy, with a tipping action that is sure to operate with consistency.
Custom Tipper Body Features

For this Mercedes Actros tipper, we included our AA Diesel-exclusive tapered tailgate pin, a signature innovation that ensures smoother operation and greater reliability, even under heavy workloads. There can be nothing more frustrating than fumbling or trying to jar open a clunky tailgate, and this innovation from our engineering team ensures this does not happen by adding functionality to a tailgate built AAD Tough.
A RO500 ROCKINGER tow coupling was also integrated into the build, offering superior towing flexibility. This component is perfect for clients who frequently need to tow trailers or additional equipment, providing a secure and adaptable connection point.
For maintenance considerations, we added a removable oil tank, a forward-thinking feature that allows for easy removal during gearbox work. This practical touch minimises downtime and simplifies service processes, ensuring the vehicle stays on the road longer. Definitely a long-term time saver and potential money saver for the truck’s eventual owner!
