We kicked off November’s spring racing period with this Fuso riding on into the AA Diesel workshop, with our team building a cup winner of our own with this truck trailer combo build! This Fuso Shogun came to us direct from Daimler Gold Coast, a famous truck dealership in Queensland that knew about our own famous brand down here in Melbourne.
Daimler Gold Coast’s client for this vehicle wanted to double their capacity with a matching tipper/truck trailer combo, something our team has a ton of experience in designing. As you’ll see in this article and the photos below, our team designed two outstanding bodies for this truck setup that are matched up for success, built AAD tough with the features they need to get the job done each day on-site.
Truck Trailer Combo Design
First, we had to design the truck trailer body combo to handle the heavy loads our client would throw at it. This is done in consultation with the customer for each truck body, an important step in the process to ensure our client’s get the most out of their trucks.
Once we understood the exact requirements for this Fuso Truck Trailer Combo, our team got to work designing the dual tipper bodies with the precision, expertise and strength that we are known for. A core part of that strength is the JOST Hydraulic System we utilised for both of these bodies, along with a Hidromas Hoist to ensure that whatever was being delivered with these bodies would get their with efficiency and accuracy.
We finished this Fuso Shogun combo with sleek, white, two-pack paint work that really helps the setup shine out on the road, however we don’t expect these bodies to stay quite that pristine in the long-run!
Custom In-house Trailer Features
Our team are renowned throughout the trucking industry for delivering builds that are customised to our clients needs, not someone else’s. Many truck owners find themselves stuck with factory options or tipping solutions that essentially standardised, but at AA Diesel our talented engineering team are capable of designing what truck owners and drivers need and have envisioned when buying their truck.
A perfect example is the chassis bend that took place for the truck trailer in this Fuso Shogun truck trailer combination. Our amazing engineers performed all of this work in-house, completed in-line with manufacturer instructions and aligned with exactly what our client needed for their truck trailer.
Some additional features of these truck body builds include the utilisation of SAF Holland Drum Brake Axles, coupled this with SAF Air Suspension. Yet another example of premium parts being utilised to ensure our client gets the best result.
To complete this build we utilised a Razor remote tarp from supplier Camilleri Tarps, allowing our client to quickly secure and unsecure their loads without the need for manual input. It’s quick timer savers like these that quickly add up on the job site, allowing drivers to get to more jobs throughout the day and saving business owners time and money in the long run.
