Our team is increasingly working with interstate clients as the AA Diesel brand spreads cross-country, with our team designing this custom 10-wheel Mack tipper body for a client based in Sydney! After taking delivery of this 10-wheel beauty our team consulted with the truck’s owner to decide on exactly what body they needed to get the most out of their vehicle on the Sydney roads, settling on the design of a massive 6100mm long by 1400mm high tipper body.
With this huge build in mind our team knew that this custom 10-wheel Mack would need to be designed to manage the toughest conditions, created with hardened wear plate steel to withstand heavy impacts and premium parts to prevent any issues on site. We knew that we could meet this challenge head-on inside the AA Diesel factory, with our team getting to work and building an outstanding tipper for this intertstate-based client.
Designing The Custom 10-Wheel Mack Tipper Body
As stated before, we always consult with each client to ensure we get their exact design specifications right to create a build that helps them get the most out of their vehicle. From maximising capacity to safety options, we work to ensure each truck body we build matches the jobs it will be used for with quality-of-life enhancements for their driving teams.
Based on this consultation we needed to install a hoist that would meet the requirements of their work and support the 6100mm long by 1400 high tipper body as it carries around materials and equipment from site-to-site.
We measured and calculated the client’s load requirements and based on this we were able to custom design a hoist that would meet and exceed the client’s requirements. To support and ensure maximum performance – we installed a 32-tonne, 4-stage hoist system that will ensure they can deliver whatever they need on site with ease.
On this tipper body we also installed extra high sides on the body itself, once again helping to maximise the capacity of this vehicle. After delivery this tipper would then be installed with a custom tarp as well, so our team prepped the body for this after-delivery installation to make life easy for our client.
Mack Tipper Body Accessories And Finishing Touches
With the custom tipper body and 4-stage hoist in place it was time for the next phase – designing the custom touches our AA Diesel factory team are known for! We love installing custom accessories and features in every build we create, helping to elevate the truck and exceed what our clients envision when bringing their vehicle to AA Diesel Truck Bodies.
Fully fitted and fabricated in our workshop – we added grain and mud-locks on the tipper’s tailgate truck trailer. These were custom built for our client’s requirements, helping to better secure loads on the road and make faster deliveries on-site.
As previously mentioned, this tipper body comes with a 4-stage hoist, helping the owner to make controlled deliveries with enough power to move even the heaviest of loads. We use JOST hydraulics in all of our builds, known for their industry-leading strength and reliability. Our team can utilising premium parts like this to build whatever type of tipper you need, from ejector tippers to side tippers and much more!
To finish things off we painted this custom 10-wheel Mack tipper with a striking gloss black paint finish, completely done in-house by our AA Diesel factory team. We utilise a two-pack paint finish that aims to prevent chipping and enhance durability for the body, as well as making the vehicle stand-out on the road. We can finish tipper bodies, truck trays and truck trailers with the branding you need to stand out on the road, from custom mudflaps to decals and of course paint finishes.
