We’re proud to have completed another successful project for one of our valued return customers this month – a custom Scania tipper designed to enhance their operational efficiency. They were so happy with our previous work for multiple trucks that when they wanted a new tipper body for this Scania, they got in touch with our team straight away to get started on a new AA Diesel-built truck body.

By now this client was very use to the AA Diesel approach to truck building, kicking things off with a thorough consultation process to fully understand exactly what this custom Scania tipper would be used for. For this project, the client required a robust 10m3 tipper body that could handle their heavy-duty tasks, with custom hydraulics that would ensure they could eject materials with ease. With this design in mind our team got to work, creating a unique tipper body that would meet and ultimately exceed our client’s requirements.

DESIGNING THE tipper body

When this Scania arrived at our workshop, it came with a pristine white paint job, which we would of course match with our own expert, in-house paintwork. We take pride in our ability to match any truck’s paintwork, adding decals and custom visuals that make your vehicle instantly recognizable or perfectly aligned with your existing fleet.

As discussed above, we installed a huge 10m3 tipper body on this Scania, helping the owner to maximise this truck’s capacity and enhance the efficiency of their business. Constructed from hardened wear plate steel, this body is built to last and offers excellent resistance to wear and impact for our client. This ensures that the truck can handle tough jobs over the long haul, reducing maintenance needs and enhancing overall performance. Part of this truck body installation also included the relocation of the truck’s batteries from the rear of the chassis to behind the truck’s cab, allowing for installation of the body and greater capacity overall.

By maximising the capacity and functionality of this Scania, we ensured our client could efficiently transport and deliver their required materials. Our skilled team can perform similar upgrades on nearly any truck model, working with the specific requirements of the manufacturer to deliver top-notch results. Whether or not a wheelbase extension is required, we work closely with our clients throughout the process to tailor each build to their unique needs.

Custom Touches For The Custom Scania Tipper Body

When spotting this custom Scania on the road your eyes might be drawn to its distinctive paintwork, but there’s more to this truck than meets the eye. We’ve integrated several special features that enhance its functionality, a result of our detailed consultations with the client—a step they found incredibly valuable in transforming their vehicle.

A popular request from our clients is the addition of a tarp for their tipper body. At AA Diesel we offer both manual and electric tarps, with this client decided to go electric for easy deployment of the tarp where needed. This feature enables quick and secure load coverage, making on-site deliveries more efficient.

You’ll also find a Rockinger tow coupling on the back of this custom Scania tipper, allowing our client to carry exactly what they need from site-to-site. Custom tow assemblies are another frequently requested item for AA Diesel truck body builds. During the consultation process for your initial truck body, we’ll recommend a number of items to suit your needs and if somewhere down the line you believe you’ll need to carry around a trailer, we’ll install the towing assembly you need to get the job done! These pair well with an AA Diesel built custom truck trailer, doubling your capacity and efficiency out on the road.

As you’ll be able to see from the photos below, this was another outstanding build that showcases why we are one of the busiest truck body builders in the country! Built with premium parts and hardened materials, this custom Scania tipper body is sure to last long into the future and serve our client well for whatever they utilise it for.
