It’s been a long winter but the weather is finally heating up in the AA Diesel factory, with warm hands helping our team to complete several big builds including this custom Mercedes Arocs tipper! We were thrilled to get our hands on this Mercedes Arocs truck, fresh off the line with all the bells and whistles that come with a new truck from this prestigious brand.
The focus of our work would be to compliment all those features with a premium tipper body for our Gold Coast-based client, delivering them a new truck with the perfect body that suited their needs. The first step in any build is the consultation process, and after talking with this client we decided that they would need a 6.1m long x 1.1m high body to ensure they would get the most out of their brand-new truck. With this in mind our team got to work, planning out the build for this custom Mercedes Arocs tipper!
As with all of our truck body builds, we designed and built this tipper body completely in-house, fabricating the tipper bin with premium parts to ensure a long-lasting result for our client. We always use the toughest, impact-resistant hardened wear plate steel on all our bodies and our expert team work to make sure that everything is installed per manufacturer requirements. While installing this tipper body did not require a wheelbase modification, our team are also always ready to make any adjustments needed, lengthening or shortening the body as required.
With the huge 6.1 long x 1.1m high tipper body installed, our team got to work on the tailgate, installing a 1150mm tailgate with heavy-duty 50mm hinges. This tailgate will help to secure any load that our Gold Coast client is required to carry, built again with premium parts to ensure a premium end-result.
This tipper also now features a 24-ton front mount hoist, created with JOST hydraulics that will help them smoothly deliver whatever they need to from the tipper body. While this custom Mercedes Arocs truck body features a front mount hoist, our team can configure our tipper bodies to suit our clients’ needs, from side-tippers to ejector tippers through to three-way tippers that can deliver materials from all sides of the truck. That’s the level of customisation you get with an AA Diesel-built truck body, complete with the special features you need to get the job done!
Speaking of those finishing touches, our team’s work on this Mercedes Arocs truck did not stop at the tipper body installation. During the consultation process with each client, we work to discover exactly what the truck will be utilised for and provide recommendations based on those requirements. For this custom tipper body, it was decided that the client would need a 135L aluminium alloy oil tank, which you can find in the photos below underneath the truck body.
Our team also designed a custom toolbox for the client, helping their team carry around exactly what they needed from site-to-site. This custom-built toolbox, measuring 600x600x800mm, now sits right behind the truck cab, allowing for easy access to the tools they need as soon as the truck is parked.
Another fantastic AA Diesel-build for a brand-new truck fresh off the assembly line! As soon as we received this Mercedes Arocs we knew this would be a special build, one of the coolest and most futuristic trucks on the market. We have to say we’re happy with the result, finishing with a premium tipper body to match a premium truck!
