We’ve kicked off the new year here at AA Diesel delivering numerous truck bodies across the state in January. One of our highlight jobs this month was a tipper conversion for a brand new Freightliner Cascadia 116 Day Cab with a 505 HP engine.
Like all our projects, this one involved a lot of careful planning. We took time to consult with the client about the kinds of jobs they would be doing on a daily basis, as well as their preferences, and then we designed the specifications for this truck body to suit those exact needs.
This was a fun build as it was the first Cascadia we have ever converted into a tipper truck here at AA Diesel Truck Bodies. After consulting with our client and determining their exact requirements, we built the tipper truck body to be 4.8mt long with 1250mm high sides. This gave the tipper body a large capacity of 13m³.
To finish off this project, a top swinging only tailgate was added alongside 2 grain locks, an electric tarp and an AA Diesel handheld tipper control unit. We received lots of positive feedback on this project and we are looking forward to converting more Cascadia trucks into tipper trucks with another build already in the works.
All of our truck bodies, including the ones mentioned here are built using the highest quality materials, made in-house using our specialised machinery, and crafted by our expert technicians. All of our tipper bodies are also made from Hardox Wear Plate steel, which provides long lasting durability in the tough Australian transport conditions.
