One of our favourite highlights from October was fitting a UD Quon with a tipper trailer combo for one of our clients, Western Sand and Soil. This was a large-scale project that required detailed planning to ensure that the final product met client requirements.
We take time to consult with our clients, making sure their new truck body is designed for their unique requirements, and built for the types of jobs they do on a regular basis. Our client came to us with some ideas of what they needed and we ensured that the tipper and trailer would be well-suited to their work.
After consulting with our client, we decided that a 4.5mt long x 1.15high tipper body was the best option for the truck. We also went for a low-profile trailer chassis to achieve a 6.1mt long and 1.15high trailer tipper body. This tipper trailer combination maximised the payload which specifically suited our client’s requirements. This combination was also engineered to meet PBS standards and will achieve the max allowable payload under the PBS scheme.
To finish off this project, we went ahead and fitted the trailer with air bag suspension, disc brakes and polished alloy rims. We ensured to match the paint on both the tipper body and trailer along with installing electric tarps, matching mudflaps and branded stickers.
All of our truck and trailer bodies are made from Hardox Wear Plate steel, which provides long lasting durability in the tough Australian transport conditions. Each truck body is custom built in-house using the highest quality materials and our specialised machinery.
