A Busy Month At AA Diesel Truck Bodies
February was a particularly busy month for us with volume picking back up after the new year, we have been busy working on various tipper truck bodies, truck trays, and truck trailers.
One of our standout jobs in February was a custom tipper truck and 3 axle dog trailer combination built for a DAF truck. This job was one of our favourites for the month as it was custom built for a regional council and had to suit their specific requirements.
Consultations and planning
When planning a truck body project, we take the time to consult with our clients, ensuring that the truck body is designed and built to suit their specific needs. This ensures that they are well-equipped for the types of jobs they will be doing on a day-to-day basis.
Custom Tipper Body and Trailer Combo
After extensive discussions with the client, we were able to understand their needs and got to work on the tipper body and trailer they required. We were able to move multiple air tanks and install a fuel tank behind the cabin, which allowed us to fit a second fuel tank, maximising total fuel capacity.
This particular job was for a council tender, which set out a very extensive list of inclusions and specifications. We assisted the truck dealer with the chassis modifications to allow a second fuel tank to be fitted. To create room for the second fuel tank, we relocated the air tanks and oil tank to the space between the body and cabin.
We added easy access stow away ladders and grain doors to the tailgate, along with electric razor tarp systems to both the tipper body and the trailer.
The trailer was then fitted with an extensive list of safety features and known trusted brands, including York airbag suspension, drum brakes and an Electronic Braking System (EBS). The work didn’t stop there though, we also installed a JOST ballrace turntable, a Jost hoist and Rockinger tow eye and a brand new set of JOST polished alloy wheels to complete the look along with a custom designed stainless steel toolbox fitted underneath the chassis.
At AA Diesel, we know how important it is to ensure that every aspect of the truck is specifically tailored to the client’s unique requirements, right down to the smallest of details.
