Instant Asset Write Off Made for a Busy November
The government’s Instant Asset Write Off scheme meant that November was insanely busy at AA Diesel Truck Bodies, delivering around 28 truck bodies in total across Victoria and interstate.
One of our standout jobs in November was installing a state of the art chipper bin and tipper combination for Bluey’s Tree Removals.
Consultation and Planning
This was a really custom project and so we took the time to consult with the client, ensuring the chip bin and tipper was designed and built for the types of jobs they will be doing on a daily basis, and to their unique preferences and specifications.
Tipper and Chipper Bin
For Bluey’s Tree Removals, this truck is designed to be the largest chip bin of their small fleet of tree removal vehicles, and so naturally, they wanted us to maximise the cubic volume and the size of the body. On top of that, we also had to achieve minimum amounts for height and length as this truck is going to be used to transport an excavator. With careful planning and some clever design, we were able to achieve an internal length of 4.4 metres and an internal height of 2.65 metres. This gave us an overall capacity of approximately 25 cubic metres.
For this truck we also used a heavy duty JOST front mount hoist, giving us a 24 tonne tipping capacity, along with oversized trunnions and all stage chroming as standard on the cylinder. We added an extra high tailgate measuring at 2 metres with a V design, allowing for the chipper chute to directly load material into the truck body without having to open the tailgate.
Two Pack Paint
To really make the truck body pop, we finished off the body with our high quality two pack paint. We worked closely with the business to match their trademark specified shade of blue, making sure that the truck body fits perfectly into the existing fleet and with the overall business branding. Generally speaking, we can paint our truck bodies in any colour requested or match the OEM whites that the trucks are delivered in.
All of our tipper bodies, including this one, are made from hardened wear plate steel, which provides long lasting durability in the tough Australian transport conditions. Each tipper body is custom built in-house using the highest quality materials and our specialised machinery.
